V*A*L*E*N*T*I*N*E*S !!!

I really want to do something awesome and extravagent and exciting for Valentines day! Haha, anyone have any fun/creative ideas? I would love some comment on this one :)

Christmas, New Years, and life!

I could really write forever about these subjects, but I only have limited time so I'm going to try and squeeze a couple things in here. :)

Christmas was an absolute blast! The kids had SO much fun and were overwhelmingly happy on Christmas day! & throughout all of December really - we had so much fun doing Christmas crafts, christmas desserts (which I did a ton of this year) and learning about Jesus and the manger scene and things. All day Christmas and days after we had lots of fun playing with our toys! :)

New Years eve, I got sick ... and fell asleep by 10. I was such a party pooper as Clint brought in the new year by himself with me sleeping by his side while he watched movies and had snacks. Haha! I was kindof sad about that, but when your sick you just don't care that much cuz you just want to get better! :) But we were really happy to bring in the new year, and feel so very thankful for all our many blessings. Even through the difficult times that life can bring us, I'm thankful for the lessons that are attached in each obstacle that can help bring us closer to our Heavenly Father!

This last week I was asked to Sing in church and also to give a talk on "Finding Joy in our Divine Potential" I'm struggling to really put this together, but I have LOTS of ideas, thoughts/quotes and things to share, it's just how to put it all together and make it "Work" :) So wish me luck! It's been a LONG time since I've done that ...I'm half excited, and half super nervous and wish I could bail out of it, but I wont obviously, it's just the nervous side of me talking. :)

Congrats to Alyssa & Ted for giving birth to their beautiful daughter Lucy! She is SO cute!! :) I'm happy for you guys!

We're playing a game ...

how many times can we get sick in a 12 month period!!??! I can't even begin to tell you how many times we have been sick in the last 4 months. I think we have all gotten some form of the flu at least 3 or 4 times each - that just doesn't seem normal, does it?! Is anyone else experiencing sickness like this? On Thursday night I looked at Ethan and I could just tell in his EYES, that he was sick. He tends to say he's not sick, even when he is sick. He doesn't like to admit he doesn't feel well until it's plainly obvious (like throwing up or something). Anyways, I asked him if he wasn't feeling well, and he said "no, I'm just really really tired." but then Clint was playing some video game with him and called to me while I was exercising that he had a really high fever and was crying. And sure enough he did have a super high fever, and a bad headache. Luckily THIS time, he didn't throw up though. I find that the most difficult since kids don't know to throw up in a bucket or something, and so it just tends to get over EVERYTHING and anything, and you have to disinfect and do bzillion loads of laundry for days. So I'm grateful whatever flu like sympton he has, it hasn't involved the throwing up part. But I'm sad to know that he isn't feeling well ... AGAIN. Hopefully these germs will fade away from our home soon!!
